Denko Aurora is a lightning detector. It receives the radio waves every lightning strike broadcasts, records each strike’s exact waveform, and timestamps it to nanoseconds — precise enough for networked stations to locate storms. The same receiver reaches far below the lightning band, where aurora and geomagnetic activity speak. Machined aluminium. Built in small batches in Estonia.

Shape-true acquisition
24-bit digitisation of the raw magnetic field with flat in-band response — the sferic’s shape survives intact, because the shape is the measurement.
GNSS-disciplined time
Dual-band satellite timing stamps every waveform, ready for network time-difference lightning location out of the box.
Reaches the aurora band
A DC-coupled front end captures the low-VLF band that lightning-only receivers filter away — the band where geomagnetic activity speaks.
Built like an instrument
IP68 machined-aluminium enclosure, shielded antenna held by a field-neutral mount, one PoE cable in. On a desk or on a mast, in any weather.
Signed at the source
Every waveform is cryptographically signed on the device — no broker, network or server can forge or alter a reading.
Antenna windows
Interchangeable precision antennas define what you listen to. The standard Sferic antenna ships first; longer-reach variants are in development — each named for the phenomenon it has demonstrably heard.
